Due to an assassination
THE PARALLAX VIEW | ALAN J. PAKULA | USA, 1975, 1h42 | DCP

Cast: Warren Beatty, Paula Prentiss, William Daniels…

After the assassination of a presidential candidate, a commission concludes it was the isolated act of a disturbed individual. But when several witnesses begin to die in mysterious "accidents," journalist Joe Frady (Warren Beatty) decides to investigate. His research leads him to the Parallax Corporation, a secret organization that recruits and trains killers to carry out political assassinations.

A dark and paranoid thriller, Alan J. Pakula delivers a film marked by the political traumas of 1970s America, notably the assassination of Kennedy and the Watergate scandal.

Discussion with Christiane Badgley on the American midterms followed by the screening at 8 PM.
