Workshop on Discovering the Translation of Contemporary Theatre from English to French

On the page, the text sometimes unfolds in columns or pyramids, playwrights appropriate punctuation which becomes stage directions, characters invite us to poetic and political rituals. What can we translate? How can we translate? Through numerous examples drawn from contemporary British and American theatre, we will ask questions and test solutions.
