With Israel & Mohamed, Israel Galván and Mohamed El Khatib intertwine their artistic worlds and personal stories. Through a dialogue between the two shores of the Mediterranean, they explore a common language based on the body, memory, and intimate narratives.

The former creates theater, films, and installations inspired by documentary. The latter is a virtuoso and iconoclastic flamenco dancer. By placing their first names side by side, Mohamed El Khatib and Israel Galván attempt to bridge their worlds and artistic practices as well as their personal journeys, through a dialogue across the Mediterranean where differences prove to be as fruitful as affinities.

Together, under the astonished gaze of their fathers, they seek a common language rooted in the body, its wounds, and scars. Using their meeting as a starting point, sharing their intimate, familial, and professional stories, they explore in duet what a living archive and a documentary dance would be.
