Discovery of the Supercomputer ADASTRA

You are invited to discover the mission hall while you wait for your visit! Stands will be set up to present the various activities of CINES. Feel free to come a little earlier to enjoy this open space.
The supercomputer Adastra, hosted and operated by CINES, takes its name from the Latin phrase "Ad Astra Per Aspera," translated as "Through hard paths to the stars."
Offering a peak performance of over 90 P/flops, or 90 million trillion operations executed in one second, Adastra provides scientists with massive and innovative computing capabilities for their complex numerical simulation needs in fields as varied as artificial intelligence (AI), meteorology, astronomy, fluid mechanics, and many others.
Adastra combines efficiency and energy sobriety, ranking 3rd in the global ranking of the most energy-efficient supercomputers!
This visit will be an opportunity to take advantage of the presence of such equipment in Montpellier by discovering the form that a supercomputer takes while listening to the explanations of CINES experts about its operation! Please note, a maximum of 15 people per group is allowed.
