We are delighted to welcome the Montpellier public (teenagers, adults, and seniors) to our weekly workshops throughout the year starting the week of September 15.
Flamenco Puro, an association based in Montpellier and Sète for 20 years, offers workshops this season to introduce, deepen knowledge, and practice the art of flamenco. Weekly classes in traditional Flamenco dance, Flamindi dance (barefoot flamenco fusion with Indian gypsy dances), techniques and body expression Flamenco, and flamenco sevillanas are offered in the Beaux Arts and Millénaire neighborhoods, as well as in Saint Jean de Védas.
A varied program for all levels
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, the workshops are open to everyone (from age 12 and with no age limit).

►10:15 AM to 11:45 AM: INTRODUCTION to FLAMENCO DANCE
A workshop to discover the basic concepts that make up flamenco dance and prepare you to join weekly classes or regular workshops. Open to all, no dance prerequisites.
►12:00 PM to 1:30 PM: FLAMINDI Dance (barefoot flamenco fusion with Indian gypsy dances) Discovery and Introduction
Monthly workshop in Montpellier.
No continuity required to participate.
Inspired by the shared roots of flamenco, dances from Rajasthan, and the Mediterranean basin, Flamindi is a method created by Tatiana Ganoza. An invitation to explore the shamanic essence of flamenco through a sensitive and embodied approach. For this session, please bring a shawl, pareo, or long scarf. Open to all, no dance prerequisites.
►2:00 PM to 3:30 PM: FLAMENCO Technique and Body Expression (intermediate level)
Monthly workshop.
No continuity required to participate.
Content: Body placement. Weight, direction, and balance. Braceo (arm movement) and zapateado (footwork) technique. Coordination. Body and gestural expression. Communication codes in flamenco. Resources for improvisation. Practice of body technique and foot technique: Proprioception, space management, gesture musicality, nuances, and precision management. Practical application on choreographed sequences.
Reduced rates for regular students of Flamenco Puro and for committed participants registered at the beginning of the year.
