GRUPO CORPO

Founded in Belo Horizonte, the Grupo Corpo company has established itself as one of the great references in global contemporary dance, weaving a unique language between choreographic rigor and Brazilian energy. For its fiftieth anniversary, it returns to Perpignan with two major works by its founder Rodrigo Pederneiras.

Piracema is inspired by the migratory movement of fish swimming upstream, a metaphor for an artistic journey marked by returns to origins and leaps into the unknown.

As for Gira, an iconic piece nourished by both Afro-Brazilian rituals and the Afro-punk jazz music of the group Metá-Metá, it immerses the performers in a circular and hypnotic dance.
