Inspired by space exploration, Rockets tells the story of two men lost in the cosmos, one intoxicated by power, the other overwhelmed by melancholy. A woman, a bridge between worlds, communicates with them, embodying scientists, a computer, or passionate children in turn. True to her art of poetic tinkering, Jeanne Candel chooses raw theater to evoke the vastness. A miniature puppet theater or repurposed props are enough to conjure satellites, storms, and weightlessness. Here, everything unfolds in plain sight, to the rhythm of live music performed by a mischievous pianist. An enchanting show that leaves you with stars in your eyes!
