OÜM

A tribute to the diva Oum Kalthoum and the Persian poet Omar Khayyam, OÜM brings together six dancers and two musicians in a choreographic journey driven by live music. On stage, the bodies align with the vibrations of the oud, guitar, and voice, dissolving the boundaries between contemporary dance, hip-hop, and Eastern traditions. Fouad Boussouf offers movements based on momentum, listening, and improvisation, where each performer asserts their uniqueness while nurturing a collective energy. Playful weight exchanges, spirals, and shared pulses celebrate both the intoxication of the present and the power of sharing.
