About
The Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie ignites under the direction of Ana María Patiño-Osorio.
Born in Colombia in 1995, this young musician won the prestigious Malko Competition in Copenhagen in 2024 and is the first assistant conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Her energetic baton promises an intense interpretation. Alongside her, the young Viennese violin prodigy, Leonhard Baumgartner (born in 2007, winner of the Eurovision Young Musicians 2024) will shine in Brahms' Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77.
Then the orchestra dives into the Argentina of Ginastera with Estancia, a vibrant tableau of folk dances, before igniting with Stravinsky's The Firebird. This superlative ballet music, with its sparkling orchestral spells, unleashes its primal energy for a fiery climax. Three works, three worlds, the journey promises fervor and brilliance.
