Balagna

The group Balagna was born in Felicetu, a mountain village in Balagne, whose name is known to originate from felica, the root of a perennial fern that awaits renewal to flourish its exuberant vegetation.

Balagna invites us to discover the Corsica of the highlands of memory because, like the fern, this land of Corsica, a microcosm of the world, needs to draw deeply from its roots to better exhale and prepare, in the concert of peoples, a future of serenity.

Its song, both simple and true, serves as a testament through its current creations as well as through the songs of memory that the common rigor has allowed to preserve in their entirety. It testifies soberly but with a great richness of terms, tones, and modes that if Corsica has often been a forgotten land, it will never be a land of forgetfulness!

Rates: Free for children under 12.

Tickets available at the Calvi Balagne Tourist Office or one hour before on-site. Payment by credit card only at the Tourist Office.
