L'Eternu is a polyphonic ensemble that was founded in 1997. It is made up of singers from various musical backgrounds, stemming from the "Riacquistu," a strong cultural movement that emerged in the 1970s.
Its members all come from a Scola di Cantu di Natale Luciani, a reference school for Corsican singing, and have proven experience on stage, notably with the group Canta u Populu Corsu.
L'Eternu embodies the eternal, both in its love and passion for singing the history of its island, and in preserving the link of a musical culture transmitted through both oral and written forms, modern and traditional, that has emerged over the past forty years.
L’Eternu invites you to travel, for an evening, to the heart of the history, traditions, and values of the Isle of Beauty, and to share everything that makes Corsica so uniquely characterful.
Its singers will reveal to you the multiple facets of the island through a repertoire that draws from sacred and secular polyphonic songs, as well as traditional and popular Corsican songs or compositions from the most emblematic island groups.
