In the performance of Corsican polyphonic singing, rooted in oral tradition, everything is a matter of instinct: the way to deliver the song, the impulse, the pitch of the notes, the rhythm, the dynamics of breath, the search for balance.

The freedoms of ornamentation, which produce dissonances, parallel fifths and octaves, prohibited by classical harmony, are the essence of Corsican polyphonic singing.

This concert blends a cappella polyphonic songs from the traditional secular and sacred repertoire. The audience is taken on a musical journey through the scents of the intense and warm maquis of Corsica, allowing for the transmission and sharing of the best of its uniqueness.

Rejecting easy artifices and trendy effects, the group Cantu Nustrale is committed to restoring the sober and authentic character of their songs and is also involved in creation and training.
