Contraception and Abortion: Where to get information in Montpellier?
History
Established in 2007 and supported by the World Health Organization, World Contraception Day, celebrated annually on September 26, aims to promote access to safe and effective contraception, encourage family planning, and reduce unintended pregnancies. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of sexual and reproductive education, especially among young people, to enable them to make informed choices about their health and future.
Founded in 1990, World Abortion Rights Day, celebrated on September 28, is an annual mobilization aimed at defending access to voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion) as a fundamental right. The main objective of this day is to advocate for women's right to freely control their bodies and to choose to terminate a pregnancy without fear of legal repercussions or medical risks associated with illegal abortions. This day also questions the resources allocated by public authorities to ensure that this right remains accessible to all, everywhere in the territory.
