FRENCH YOUTH ORCHESTRA

With the French Youth Orchestra, the new generation of musicians takes the stage for a grand symphonic concert marked by excellence, transmission, and sharing. Established in 1982, this training orchestra brings together young artists from all over France each year, selected for their talent and accompanied by renowned conductors and soloists.

Under the direction of Kristiina Poska, the French Youth Orchestra presents a program of grand orchestral dimensions. The visionary power of Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Richard Strauss opens the evening, before giving way to the deep lyricism of Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto, performed by cellist Edgar Moreau. In closing, Exodus by Erkki-Sven Tüür reveals contemporary energy and a dynamic musical writing. A concert where virtuosity, collective commitment, and passion for symphonic music come together.
