EMPIRE

With Empire, the company La Zampa imagines a choreographic fresco where movement becomes a means to question power dynamics, domination, and transformation. On a stage made up of twenty-five unstable tatamis, six dancers and musician Marc Sens explore a physical language influenced by judo and English counter-dance. Falls, imbalances, suspensions, and impulses compose a dance where fragility becomes a creative force. Driven by looping guitars and a vibrant visual universe, the piece unfolds a shifting landscape, both intimate and political, where bodies invent new ways to resist, connect, and reinvent the world.
