This autumn, Flavien Couche presents "Divagations" at Kiasma in Castelnau-le-Lez, from September 29 to December 12.

Between figuration and abstraction, Divagations explores the human figure, the transformation of shapes, and the power of color. Faces, silhouettes, and geometries are constructed, fragmented, and recomposed in spaces freed from usual references. The color, intense and contrasting, structures the compositions as much as it conveys emotions and tensions. Flavien Couche thus composes an immediately identifiable universe, somewhere between reality, memory, and imagination.

FLAVIEN COUCHE
Born in Paris in 1981 and now based in Sète, Flavien Couche develops a painting at the border of figuration and abstraction, nourished by a very personal work on color, material, and the human figure. His career is gaining increasing visibility: in 2026, Artsper selected him among the "26 artists to watch in 2026," alongside Hervé Di Rosa.
