Join us for a lantern parade and DJ for an animated evening.
Starting at 5:30 PM, come pick up lanterns at Place de la Liberté to participate in a parade from 6:30 PM between Place de la Liberté and Kiasma. From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, a DJ will set the mood in the Lagoya room at Kiasma.
On the forecourt of Kiasma, a food stand will allow participants to satisfy a small hunger or refresh themselves.
An ancient origin.
Halloween has its roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain, celebrated over 2000 years ago. For the Celts, this night marked the end of summer and the beginning of winter, a time associated with darkness and cold. It was also believed that the veil between the world of the living and the dead thinned, allowing spirits to return to earth.
Over time, these traditions merged with Christian influences (All Saints' Day is celebrated on November 1) to give birth to the Halloween we know today.
Whether you're dressed as a ghost, witch, superhero, or zombie, October 31 is the perfect day to dare to wear the wildest outfits.
Halloween is much more than just an occasion to eat candy. It's a friendly excuse to gather, laugh (and sometimes scream!) together, and let your imagination run wild. So, ready to put on your vampire cape or skeleton mask?
The City of Castelnau-le-Lez wishes you a happy Halloween!
