ARCHIVES AT YOUR SERVICE: OBSERVING AND UNDERSTANDING OLD PHOTOS

After an introduction to the online iconographic collection (image form) of the Departmental Archives, this workshop offers a chance to decode old photographs: how to estimate their date, recognize clothing, identify techniques, and place an image in its context? Using concrete examples, participants will be invited to observe, analyze, and discuss the photographs.
