The workshops of the Cité de la Chaussure are open for visits all year round, whether alone, with family, or in a group. Every year, thousands of people discover the Cité de la Chaussure, and this "tourism of know-how" is attracting more and more visitors.

After sharing the beautiful story of the Cité de la Chaussure, our guide will take you into the production workshops to meet our artisans. She will show you the different steps necessary for making a shoe: cutting, stitching, assembling, and finally polishing.

This visit will help you understand the stakes of Made in France for preserving craftsmanship and the importance of the Cité de la Chaussure for the revival of shoemaking in Romans.
