The Unesco Chair on World Food is organizing a seminar open to the public, in-person at Cirad in Montpellier (Lavalette site) or online (streaming and replay) in collaboration with the Sustainable Food pole of L'Institut Agro. Four sessions are offered.
Wednesday 07/10 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: "Challenges and pathways for sustainable food" by Nicolas Bricas, socio-economist of food at Cirad, holder of the Unesco Chair on World Food and ambassador for the 2026 edition of the Science Festival for the Occitanie region.
Thursday 08/10 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: "Towards an agroecological Europe: lessons from the TFYA (Ten Years for Agroecology) scenario" by Xavier Poux, consultant and researcher, AScA/Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (Iddri).
Wednesday 14/10 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: "Digital technology in agricultural and food sectors - What are we talking about? What uses? What adoption? What challenges?" by Bruno Tisseyre, lecturer-researcher, L’Institut Agro Montpellier, UMR ITAP.
Thursday 15/10 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: "Fighting food insecurity - Building new forms of solidarity" by Pauline Scherer, sociologist, Laboratory of Food Commons (Laboca).
