Quantum: The Rules of the Game
About
This proposal takes the form of a public evening introducing quantum physics through the board game Hop. The goal is to make accessible, in a friendly and participatory manner, concepts often perceived as complex or intimidating: quantum states, probabilities, measurement, superposition, or surprising behaviors of the microscopic world.
Through the game, the event aims to show that it is possible to enter the universe of quantum physics without significant scientific prerequisites, relying on intuition, exchange, and the manipulation of playful situations. This approach allows for the demystification of a field often presented as reserved for specialists, while fostering curiosity, the joy of understanding, and collective discussion.
The evening will alternate between explanation sessions, guided games, and exchanges with the audience to connect the mechanics of the game to the major scientific concepts. This initiative is aimed at both science enthusiasts and families, as well as young people and adults wishing to discover one of the great intellectual revolutions of the 20th century in a different way.
