Maison des Chœurs, Place Albert 1er, Montpellier, France

Four voices, one bow. A confession more than a speech, where each timbre retains its uniqueness, each silence its weight. It is in this intimate, almost carnal space that The Weight of Ink takes place: where the voice becomes the fragile territory of coexistence between word and music.

The cello, a centuries-old companion of the human voice, shares with it the same mystery: this ability to express without naming, to weigh without burdening. From Dall'Abaco to Saariaho, from Pärt to Aperghis, this program traverses centuries and languages, carried by this intimate alliance. What ink cannot hold, the voice and the bow offer us.
