Theme: "The Thermal Big Bang: A History of Temperature Measurement"

How connected objects participate in the modern history of temperature measurement. Our environment is of inextricable complexity, and the more we advance in understanding it, the more numerous and complex the problems become, and the mystery increases.
Fortunately, since the dawn of humanity, we have applied an exceptional concept: separating complex problems into several simpler ones to tackle.
The example of temperature, which at first glance seems trivial, has become a societal topic today.
In this presentation, I propose to draw a parallel between the history of temperature measurement, the practical applications that these measurements have enabled, and finally, the exponential evolution of its use, made possible by modern telecommunications, electronics, and computing (IoT or the Internet of Things).
As a young retiree, I remain passionate about the new technologies and the history that have shaped our modern civilization.
With a professional background as an engineer in high technologies (HP, EDF, Alstom) and a varied academic curriculum (Ecole Centrale, University Paris 7, CNAM), I have been able to observe and understand the transformation of our technological environment over the past 50 years.
