Historical & Wine Tour at Château Lastours

Discover Château Lastours: a journey into the heart of history and the wine world **

Located between Albi, Toulouse, and Montauban, Château Lastours is an old family estate, at the heart of the Gaillac Appellation. Archives dating back to 1579 attest to the presence of the de Faramond family within the estate.

It is in this beautiful vineyard near the Tarn River that we cultivate our 60 hectares of vines. You will learn about the contributions of the Benedictine Monks of the Abbey of Saint Michel de Gaillac as well as the Counts of Toulouse to what our vineyard is today. Our terroir, both gravelly and siliceous, brings balance and finesse to wines of elegant complexity.

Today, we are surrounded by a young and dynamic team, with recognized expertise. We strive to welcome you in the simplest and warmest way possible. Our hospitality is primarily marked by friendliness and the desire to reconcile modernity and tradition in this place rich in history.

Upon your arrival, let yourself be charmed by the majestic plane tree avenue that leads you through our vineyard plots, a symbol of our passion and know-how.

Reservations are possible from Tuesday to Saturday, at 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
During this walk, discover the rich history of Château Lastours, our work as winemakers, and explore the behind-the-scenes of our technical cellar, where the daily life of our team is revealed. The visit concludes with a tasting of our cuvées.
