Heritage Days 2026 - Notre-Dame-de-la-Mourède Church

A monument of Spanish character, both in its architecture and in the layout of its access. The western façade is reminiscent of Hispano-American churches. It was likely built in several phases, spanning from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.

On the rear façade, traces of the apse of a Romanesque chapel can be found, which was likely oriented perpendicular to the current church. The main façade wall is framed by two corner buttresses, the upper part of which connects to a baroque-style pediment.

The bell tower, probably older (14th century), is independent and attached along the left wall. The entablatures and the corbels supporting the ribs of the vaults are sculpted (14th century).
