Guided Tour: Yvoire Through Time

The Middle Ages serves as an entry point to work on temporal awareness and invite students to take a new look at the rocks around them. Through the observation of the ramparts, gates, castle, and dwellings, students understand how populations used local resources to build their habitats and defense systems.
These materials, derived from the territory's geology, are placed back in their geological and historical context. The comparison between past and present lifestyles allows for deeper learning.
The outing begins with a walk through the village streets (about 30 minutes), followed by various workshops at the Maison de l’Histoire.
