Add anto.info to your preferred sourcesFrom Yvoire, a medieval village, to Nernier "Pearl of Lake Geneva", students will discover the history of the Chablais landscapes, human settlement in the region, and the evolution of local life. They will meet the great figures who have passed along the shores of Lake Geneva and who drew inspiration from the local landscapes: Lamartine, Rousseau, Byron, Shelley…
Several themes will be addressed: the history of human settlement and villages, with a pause on the religious wars (the path of the Waldensians);
the Lake Geneva and the Romantics; local architecture and built heritage, including contemporary works by architect Maurice Novarina; the formation of landscapes and the use of local resources: connections with geology.
Rates: 150 € per Guide. 1 Guide for 15 students.
