NEW YEAR CONCERT - BOITACLOUS
About
Vienna, the imperial city and eternal cradle of the waltz, embodies European musical elegance. From Mozart to Beethoven, from Brahms to Johann Strauss, not to mention Verdi, Donizetti, or Puccini, it has witnessed the birth of the greatest pages of the repertoire.
To celebrate the new year, the Orchestre Perpignan Catalogne, conducted by Daniel Tosi, presents a festive and bright program. Led by the radiant voice of Cameroonian soprano Jasmine Omoga, this evening immerses us in the intoxicating world of Viennese waltzes. The famous three-beat rhythm sweeps the audience into a whirlwind of emotions, carried by the unforgettable melodies of the Strauss family.
Evoking the splendor of the romantic century, where people danced until dawn, these works celebrate the art of living and shared pleasure. Rarely sung today, these waltzes reveal, through their lyrics, the richness of human feelings: love, passion, joy, sadness, or ecstasy.
Between opera arias and bursts of bel canto, this concert is a true musical celebration, a sonic fireworks display to fully kick off 2027.
And suddenly, Vienna is not so far away...
