LOUIS CATTELAT - BOITACLOUS

Arecibo evokes a giant radio telescope that captures stars in the hope of detecting life beyond infinity. Thousands of kilometers away, alone on stage with his straight-A student look that cleverly hides his game, Louis Cattelat captures our ridiculous silences and transforms them into sharp laughter.

Sending a message to extraterrestrials? Nothing simpler: a few giant antennas, an ambitious scientific program, and a touch of collective audacity. But telling your hairdresser you don’t like your haircut… that’s a challenge far more dizzying.

With him, we laugh at our blockages, our pretenses, our unspoken phrases. We laugh in shades of yellow, we laugh in shades of black, we laugh together.

Dark humor, delicious absurdity, the Montpellier native, now a columnist for Quotidien, allows himself triviality with raw, crafted texts and a deadpan demeanor.

Flirting sometimes with blasphemy, his temporary joke continues to endure! Piercing, poetic, completely off-the-wall, elegant and trashy, the rising star of stand-up invites us to dream, with humor and sensitivity.
