Animating Animal - Pinaffo & Pluvinage

The artists draw inspiration from the uses of leather throughout history: from shadow puppets in Asian theater to the skin-covered tipis of North American peoples, including their fringed adornments, and even the motion transmission belts still in use today.
Their works explore and reveal the possibilities of objects and materials, offering experiences at the intersection of art, science, and design.
Invited as residents by the leather sector of Graulhet, supported by the City of Graulhet and the art center Le Lait, Pinaffo & Pluvinage have been collaborating with member companies of Graulhet Le Cuir since October 2025, with the backing of the "Art and Worlds of Work" program from the Ministry of Culture.
