In the 16th century, the Hôtel de Rolland was a fort that housed soldiers tasked with protecting the inhabitants of Rabastens. This fort was acquired in the early 16th century by a certain Mr. Rolland, hence its current name. Over the centuries, it underwent significant transformations until the 19th century, when it was completely remodeled under the influence of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, shaping the architectural ensemble we can admire today.
