Guided Tour of the Museum by Grandpa Ernest

Located in the heart of Rabastens, in the beautiful mansion of La Fite, the museum is dedicated to the art and history of the Rabastinois region. Its collections tell the story of the territory through the centuries: archaeology, crafts, fine arts, decorative arts, and sacred art. You can discover, among other things, the traces of the Gallo-Roman villa of Las Peyras, a remarkable collection of glazed terracotta from Giroussens, works by local artists, and the creations of the embroiderer René Bégué.

But this time, there’s no question of following a guided tour like any other! With his strong character, straightforwardness, and colorful language, Grandpa Ernest will show you the museum in his own way. Between anecdotes, little stories, and memories, he will share everything he knows about Rabastens and its heritage.
