Alpilium: "Passion Mendelssohn"

Dive into the world of Félix Mendelssohn at the commented concert "Passion Mendelssohn," presented at Alpilium in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

A gifted musician, genius composer, and brilliant conductor, Félix Mendelssohn left a significant mark on the history of classical music, particularly through his contribution to the rediscovery of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Behind this exceptional journey lies a unique family story, highlighted by his relationship with his sister Fanny Mendelssohn, a talented composer whose artistic ambitions were long hindered.

Jean-Michel Dhuez narrates this fascinating destiny through music, accompanied by the Trio Zeliha. Composed of Manon Galy on violin, Maxime Quennesson on cello, and Jorge Gonzalez-Buajasan on piano, this ensemble of young musicians, awarded in several international competitions, brings the instruments to life to convey the composer’s work and story.

A meeting between music and narrative to discover or rediscover the universe of Mendelssohn and share a special moment around classical music.
