DISCOVERY OF COASTAL TREASURES

With :

• Surfrider Foundation Europe, participate in a waste collection as part of the "Retrace" program, a citizen science initiative that allows for the classification of waste found on beaches to identify sources and better combat pollution,

• Label Bleu, embark on a discovery of seaweed and search for "treasures of the sea" through a participatory science activity,

• Syndicat Rivages, explore the Natura 2000 site and the actions taken to preserve the Torreilles coastline. The youngest can also join the game "Le Rozo ambulant", a fun activity about the role of coastal reed beds,

• the Coastal Guards, learn about their work through a baggage study and various activities,

• the Claude Blazy Media Library, at 11am, let yourself be told the story of the sea,

• Nostramar, dive into the world of sea turtles with a dedicated animation.

This morning also coincides with a special event for the area: after being voted the favorite beach of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Torreilles North Beach is among the 8 beaches qualified for the next stage of the national campaign "The Favorite Beach of the French", organized by Surfrider Foundation Europe.
