SINCE WE MUST DEPART

A lyrical diptych on exile through the ages.

"Since We Must Depart" is a lyrical diptych made up of two short operas composed by Léo Kiehl, united by the common theme of exile. The first, with a libretto by Natacha Bodaud, is inspired by an Irish folk song; the second, with text written by Anton Goubier, freely develops certain themes and characters from the Tristia and the Pontica of the great Latin poet Ovid.
