A one-and-a-half-hour conference will go further and outline pathways for collective action because intensifying the prevention, detection, and prosecution of digital offenses in the Francophonie requires moving beyond a logic of juxtaposed initiatives towards a truly coherent ecosystem, integrating education, technical capabilities, legal frameworks, and international cooperation. Alongside the initiatives of the International Organization of La Francophonie and state initiatives, there are numerous private initiatives, including those from members of the Francophone Free Software Friendly Meetings, who develop open resources to educate good cybersecurity practices and IT hygiene in each country. Therefore, a comprehensive overview is necessary to raise the average level of resilience and competence across the Francophone space and to make cybercrime genuinely more costly, riskier, and less profitable.
