In 1920s Chicago, Roxie Hart, a young woman dreaming of performing at the Onyx Club, is accused of murdering her unfaithful lover and sent to prison. Behind bars, she meets her idol, Velma Kelly, a jazz singer convicted of killing her husband and sister caught in the act of adultery.
At a time when the media creates and destroys stars, and everyone dreams of their moment of glory, the themes of Chicago remain timeless: fame, manipulation, and corruption seem to go hand in hand more than ever. An uplifting and delightful film.
