THE SALON OF THE FORGOTTEN
About
An exhibition that pays tribute to the rarely borrowed works from the reserves of Frac Occitanie Montpellier, under the mischievous aegis of the academic salons of the 19th century, which revealed artists. This exhibition holds its ground despite stylistic disparities, featuring around twenty artists from diverse origins and backgrounds, creating a joyful blend of creations developed without subjectivity, all gathering in Perpignan, in the discreet shadow of the Catalan and Spanish writer Enrique Vila-Matas, author of novels whose narratives often revolve around chance encounters and improbable circumstances.
Opening: Friday, October 2 at 6:30 PM
Curated by: Céline Mélissent and Eric Mangion, with the collaboration of the team at the art center àcentmètresducentredumonde.
