Concert "Vertiges de la Mue"
About
Could birds be overcome by vertigo and leap into the void? With this essential need to put everything in: their joys, their craziness, their desires, and their dramas? L’Oiseau Ravage dares to take that risk.
A woman-orchestra with a high-pitched voice, a saxophone that speaks, a drum that grounds. A melodic pianist who strikes and makes his strings weep while laughing.
L’Oiseau Ravage is like Nina Hagen and Erik Satie playing the blues in an old Berlin cabaret.
Charlène moves from saxophone to voice, to sound objects and drums, while Marek sculpts a melodic piano, sometimes prepared, capable of laughing and squeaking in the same phrase. Their universe, traversed by the imagination of birds, blends humor, poetry, and a raw expressiveness that hits home.
