When the Cave Tells Stories from Before Time…
About
Today more than ever, we need to question our relationship with the world. Far beyond predatory greed, in a relationship of respect and mixed curiosity, it is urgent to rediscover deep connections that place us back in this immense whole, both in space and time, the Earth and the cosmos!
Our territory, with the gorges of the Aveyron, its cliffs and other reliefs, as well as its multiple caves and dolmens, offers a wealth of particularly remarkable places. They have a powerful effect in calming our agitated minds and immersing us in the joy of the sensation of space or vastness. These are ways to open up and connect with the earth. Moreover, entering a cave and gathering to listen to stories is a gesture we carry within us, a simple and reassuring act that reminds us that we, all of us humans, share the same needs for connection and stories. It is a return to the essential in an environment conducive to a sense of refuge and cocoon.
For a long time, two local storytellers, Naémie Tiberghien and Marco Bénard, have enjoyed telling stories outdoors and in natural, meaningful spaces. Thus came the idea of a short but powerful walk, with cliff edges, undergrowth, ridges, a panoramic viewpoint over the gorges of the Aveyron, and a finale in a particularly unique cave due to its size. This hike will be punctuated by stories, plunging us back into other dimensions, other eras of these exceptional sites. The intimate, the animal, the "primitive" and the prehistoric will, among others, be on the agenda.
A stimulating return to the belly of the Earth!
