Through living tableaux, narrated, played, danced, they unfold a hundred years of fire and swing, from the cheeky Cake Walk to the irresistible Charleston, from the airborne Lindy Hop to the liberated Modern Jazz. Each step tells us about an era, each note carries the memory of a people who invented joy in motion.

Here, bodies respond to each other, brass instruments crackle, percussion vibrates the ground, influences intersect, blend, and spread to today's dances, like an infinite wave.
