About
Add anto.info to your preferred sourcesDid you know?
Bull races were held in the upper part of the fortress site, with the chapel becoming a bullring.
Your tour guide invites you to dive into the past of Beaucaire.
Before becoming the seat of a seneschal administering royal possessions in the South, the fortress of Beaucaire was first the residence of the Counts of Toulouse. Having endured numerous destructive assaults, such as the siege of 1216, a significant episode of the Albigensian Crusade, the fortress still reveals beautiful remnants that testify to its distant and glorious past.
From the top of the tower, a landscape reading will unfold before your eyes, from the hills of Beaucaire to the Alpilles, passing by the Montagnette and Mont Ventoux.
Prices: Full price: €7, Reduced price: €5 (for those over 60, job seekers, students, residents of CCBTA).
