On October 24 and 25, 2026, the 48h Open House BCN festival returns for its 17th edition, inviting the curious to explore the city in a different way.
For two days, 217 buildings participate in this exceptional event, featuring 224 activities dedicated to architecture, heritage, and the spaces that shape our daily lives.
Doors that don’t open every day
Imagine discovering the behind-the-scenes of an infrastructure, visiting an iconic building, entering a workspace, or understanding the history of a neighborhood through its architecture.
This is the experience offered by 48h Open House BCN, which provides access to various locations, some of which are usually closed to the public.
This year, 63 spaces are making their debut in the program.
Life without architecture: the 2026 theme
Under the theme "Life without architecture," the festival invites reflection on everything that buildings bring to our lives.
Through visits, routes, and meetings, participants discover how architecture influences our way of living, working, moving, and coexisting.
Discoveries throughout the metropolis
The festival extends to Barcelona, Badalona, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Vilassar de Dalt, and Sitges.
Among the offerings are visits to the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, the Collserola Tower, industrial facilities, and cooperative housing.
Free, with some visits requiring reservations
More than 200 spaces are accessible without prior registration. However, some limited-capacity visits require a reservation, with a management fee of €3 when booked through Eventbrite.
Join us on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, 2026. Check the official program to choose your buildings and verify the schedule for each visit.
