47th Sants Popular Cross 'Eugeni Giralt Memorial'

The Sants Popular Cross is one of the most rooted and traditional races held in Barcelona. Participation is open to individuals aged 18 and over. Runners aged 16 and above can participate with the authorization of their parents or guardians. The race will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, on a 10-kilometer circuit starting at 10:00 AM on Sants Road (at the corner with Brasil) and finishing at Rambla de Brasil. It is mandatory to wear the bib number clearly visible on the chest and the official chip (Championchip) securely attached to the shoe. The time limit to complete the race is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Registration Process

Registrations will be made through the Championchip website (prior payment by credit card). Indicating the runner's details (name, surname, age, and chip code). The race is limited to 1714 participants. The registration fee, until October 10, will be €15 for those with a yellow chip, and €17 for those who need to rent one. From October 11, the registration fee will be €17.50 for those who already have a chip and €19.50 for those who need to rent one. Registrations will close on October 15 (as long as the participant limit has not been exceeded before). No registrations will be accepted under any circumstances on the day of the race. Registered runners will have access to a Bag Drop service on the morning of the Cross. All registrants will receive a t-shirt. However, the organization does not guarantee the requested t-shirt size. The collection of bib numbers and t-shirts will take place at Lleialtat Santsenca (Olzinelles Street 31) on Friday, October 16, from 4:00 PM to 8:45 PM and on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:45 PM. On race day, bib numbers and t-shirts will also be distributed at the start, but we recommend avoiding this to prevent queues.

Other Races

El Petit Cros
600-meter race reserved for children under 7 years old. Registration for this race is free and will remain open until the Thursday before the race or until reaching 150 runners. The start of El Petit Cros will be at 9:30 AM.

La Centpeus
A one-mile race reserved for children aged 7 to 14 years. Registration will be done on the Championchip page and will remain open until the Thursday before the race or until reaching 150 runners. The registration fee is €3 for runners who already have a chip and €4 for those who rent one. The control for this race will be done via chip. If a runner does not have their own chip, the organization will provide a returnable white chip at the end of the race. Not wearing a chip will result in disqualification. The start will be at 9:40 AM, before the start of the Cross.

The inclusive Cross of 1500 and 500 meters. These races are reserved for runners with intellectual disabilities. The 1500-meter race will take place within the Sants Popular Cross, starting from Sants Road with Badal, around 10:30 AM. The 500-meter race will start at 11:30 AM from the same start of the Cross.
