19th Lluís Companys Race and Walk - Tribute to the Popular Olympics of Barcelona 1936

The Lluís Companys Race and Walk is much more than a sporting event. As a sporting activity of the Abril project, it emphasizes the importance of Historical Memory and popular culture.

Schedule
The 19th edition of the Lluís Companys Race and Walk will take place on October 24, 2026. On Thursday, October 22, bib numbers will be distributed at the headquarters of the Neus Català Foundation (C. Dr. Aiguader 10-12, ground floor, Barcelona) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule for the day of the event is as follows:

Second bib number distribution: 8:00 AM
Guided Walk start: 9:00 AM
10 km Race start: 9:30 AM
5 km Race start: 9:40 AM
Awards ceremony: from 10:15 AM

All starts will be held from the Joan Serrahima Stadium. The circuit for the 5 km and 10 km races will close 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start time of each event.

Route
The start and finish point for both the Walk and the two Race modalities will be the Joan Serrahima Stadium.

The start and finish point will be the Joan Serrahima Stadium. The race features two distances: you can choose between 5 and 10 km. In both cases, it is officially certified.

5 km Race: the minimum age to participate is 14 years, as of the day of the event.
10 km Race: the minimum age to participate is 16 years, as of the day of the event.
The Guided Walk is open to people of all ages, with no restrictions.
In any case, all participants in the 5 km and/or 10 km Race who are minors must submit a signed authorization form from their mother, father, or legal guardian when collecting their bib number. The form can be downloaded from the registration section of www.cursacompanys.cat. No in-person registrations will be possible on the day of the Race and Walk.

At all times, and for the proper conduct of the event, our regulations will comply with current legislation on safety measures and health prevention.

Registration deadline
The registration deadline will end on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 00:00 AM, or when the maximum number of 1,000 registrations for the entire event is reached. No registrations will be accepted on the same day as the event.

Bib number collection
Bib numbers can be picked up on Thursday, October 22, at the headquarters of the Neus Català Foundation (C. Dr. Aiguader 10-12, ground floor, Barcelona), between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. On the day of the event, they can also be collected inside the Joan Serrahima Stadium from 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM.

Refreshments
Water will be provided on the first lap, and a bag with water and fruit will be given at the end of the Race. For Walk participants, there will also be a bag with water and fruit.

Clothing check and restrooms
There will be a clothing check service (8:00 AM to 11:30 AM) and restrooms available.

Parking
There will be a reserved free parking area from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Location: Sot del Migdia
