Sarah, a young mother, can no longer steal to feed her son Léo. Under electronic surveillance, she risks prison at the slightest misstep. One day, when she has nothing left to give him, she lets him eat directly from the shelves of a supermarket. But Léo gets caught. To avoid prison, Sarah claims he is not her son. To protect her, the little boy confirms that Sarah is not his mother.

Jules Selini is a writer, director, and props master. Graduating with a BTS in audiovisual studies from Cannes in 2007, he has since focused primarily on directing self-produced short fiction films. These early experiences confirm his desire to tell stories and reveal a direction close to his heart: addressing deeply social issues through thrillers and tense narratives. His work has been recognized and awarded at several festivals. With "Robin", he takes a new step in his journey by directing his first film with the support of a production company.

This film, produced by AnderAnderA Production, OriGine Films, and Perspective Films, is supported by the ICC Creation Aid Fund of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, the Occitanie Region, the Normandy Region, the National Center for Cinema and the Animated Image, PROCIREP-ANGOA, SACEM, and France TV. Launched in 2022, the fund aims to encourage the emergence of talent and support the local image sector.

The session will be followed by a drink.
