Corsican Polyphonic Singing Workshop
About
Add anto.info to your preferred sourcesDescription:
Corsican polyphonic singing is a folk tradition that has accompanied the daily lives of Corsican farmers and mountain dwellers. It has become a traditional reference; since 2009, the cantu in paghjella, a type of paghjella singing, has been inscribed in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. Traditional singing is, above all, a journey shared by many. It is a strong and unique source of the need to be together and to share. But it is also, for each individual, a communication with the body that connects voices and breaths. It is a polyphony that seeks to delve deep into the harmonization of voice and body.

Biography
Originally from Corsica, she settled in Marseille in 2000, where she became a singer and choir director. She continues her musical research, focusing on regions ranging from the outskirts of Salento in Italy to those of Occitanie, passing, of course, through Corsica. This journey has led her to collaborate in recent years with Manu Théron from "Cor de la plana" (Marseille), Jean-Michel Lhubac (Sète), Claudio Cavallo from "Mascarimiri" (Salento), and Jacky Micaelli (Corsica). She leads numerous traditional singing workshops in Italy, France, and Switzerland.
