Every quarter, the Artistic Encounters, organized by the Maisons pour tous Albert Camus, Marie Curie, Rosa-Lee Parks, Louis Feuillade and Voltaire in the form of cultural events accessible to all, invite you to open up to art, a universal language, an inexhaustible source of wonder and reflection.

From October 3 to December 16, 2026, the Artistic Encounters welcome you for a creative journey, accessible to everyone. Designed as a true bridge "from the eye to the hand," this quarterly event extends the discovery of the city's major exhibitions and events through practical experience: we look, we marvel, then we experiment, we manipulate, and we create!
Whether you come solo, with friends, with your little ones (from 2-3 years old) or your teenagers, let yourself be surprised by a rich program that combines friendliness, sharing, and cultural emancipation.

October: "Design: Living with Forms"

In echo to the major retrospective of Pierre Paulin at the Fabre Museum. Design does not just create objects: it accompanies our gestures and transforms our daily lives.

  • Visits and strolls: sensory and playful visits for families at the Fabre Museum, adult guided tour of the Pierre Paulin retrospective, discovery of the exhibition L’atelier Nebout // Lieux et liens at La Fenêtre, or an urban adventure along the Lez to discover contemporary masterpieces (l'Arbre Blanc, the RBC Design Center, the Nuage...).

  • Practice & workshops: family design initiation (designing a modular chillbox), cardboard and papier-mâché furniture creation workshop, paper folding and modeling, creative writing and body expression to "dance the space."

  • Cinema & conferences: screening of the cut-out animation film The Secret of the Tits (with behind-the-scenes making-of) and a conference on the conquest of organic forms in modern sculpture.

November: "Tales of Light"

In resonance with the enchanting event "Cœur de Ville en Lumières". As the days shorten, light becomes a living material to tell stories, reveal, and gather.

  • Outings & wonder: guided night tour through the illuminations of the historic center.

  • Magical workshops: creating enchanting images through light painting (long exposure and movement), introduction to the ancient photographic process of cyanotype (Prussian blue tones), making candles and lanterns, and a multisensory Snoezelen space for a moment of softness with babies.

  • Dance, words & images: body expression workshop exploring light and shadow, creative writing on shadow and light, a cinema session with The Night Tales by Michel Ocelot (followed by a visit to the projection booth) and an art history conference on light from Rembrandt to Olafur Eliasson.

December: "The Aesthetics of Imbalance: Body, Memory, and Tensions"

Inspired by the event exhibition of Mohamed Lekleti at FRAC Occitanie Montpellier. Far from being a fall, imbalance is celebrated here as a source of invention, movement, and renewal.

  • Visit & conference: immersion at FRAC in the weightless mural of Mohamed Lekleti, complemented by a conference on contemporary drawing as a space for experimentation.

  • Creativity & fabrication: creating totems and sculptures defying gravity, "paper poetry" in reinforced kraft, crafting a miniature theater in a box inspired by the circus, and a dance workshop "through the movement" guided by string games.

  • Projections & tales: screening of poignant short films Lost Hearts (questioning exile and uprooting) and children's tales around the album Life in the Mountains.
