ANCIENT MUSIC FESTIVAL IN PIC SAINT-LOUP, GORGES OF L'HÉRAULT AND MONTPELLIER REGION

Ancient music in Pic Saint-Loup, Gorges of l’Hérault & Montpellier Region returns for its 13th edition and invites you to discover the heritage of the area to the rhythm of ancient music.

From Indian summer to the first lights of autumn, the festival takes over Romanesque churches, chapels, and emblematic villages of Pic Saint-Loup, the Gorges of l’Hérault, and the Montpellier region, including the Romanesque church of Sainte-Croix de Celleneuve.

For this new edition, the lutenist Eduardo Egüez opens the festival with a carte blanche of three concerts alongside his family: a musical journey in Italy with soprano Jiayu Jin, a vihuela recital dedicated to 16th century Spain in Guzargues, and a musical encounter with Spanish, Italian, and Argentine baroque accents in Gignac.

The second week highlights the Kapsber’girls and the effervescence of pre-baroque Italy, while the duo Nysiak offers a "charming night" of Occitan music facing Pic Saint-Loup. The festival concludes in Saint-Martin-de-Londres with Les Passions, featuring concertos for recorder by Telemann and Sammartini.

A musical journey through heritage, landscapes, and great repertoires, to discover the banks of autumn in a different way.
