40 YEARS OF THE LATTARA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE - HENRI PRADES MUSEUM

Forty years ago, the archaeological museum of Lattes was inaugurated in the presence of François Léotard, Minister of Culture, alongside representatives from the involved local authorities and numerous scientific personalities.

More than just a building meant to house artifacts, it was a visionary project for an archaeological center that came to life, combining research facilities, a cultural activity space, a museum, and an archaeological site.

Today, we have the opportunity to reflect through images and memories on the past four decades (the mas Saint-Sauveur, the construction work, the excavations, the scientific and cultural activities…) and to put them in perspective with the future project for the enhancement and development of the Lattara archaeological site - Henri Prades Museum.

1:30 PM: welcome with a coffee reception
2:00 PM: inauguration of the retrospective exhibition "The museum is 40 years old" in the presence of Michaël Delafosse, Mayor-President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, and Cyril Meunier, Mayor of Lattes
2:30 PM: conference "40 years later, a new project for Lattara" by Diane Dusseaux, Chief Heritage Curator and Director of the Lattara archaeological site - Henri Prades Museum
4:00 PM: performance "Henri Prades, the courage of passion" by Fabien Bages
